It’s not every day you hear about a school district wanting to reduce fees. But tonight, the Galt Joint Union High School District will hold a public hearing and subsequent vote on decreasing the amount of developer fees charged to new residential construction. In Galt, school facility needs analysis is completed annually by an outside firm. This year, SCI Consulting Group recommends that the residential fee be decreased by a penny, to $5.44 per square foot. The same decrease should be approved by the elementary board, as well.
